  • 12 medium cocktail olives (with pimentos)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) if using bread for bases.
  2. Boil eggs in a pot of water for 20 minutes, then transfer them to cold water for 2-5 minutes. Peel the eggs.
  3. Slice each egg in half, removing yolks and straining them until powdery.
  4. Mix yolks with mayo, mustard, salt, pepper, and red dye until smooth.
  5. If using bread, cut into circles and toast for about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Create holes in the egg halves for olive slices; fill with yolk mixture and top with olives.
  7. Seal with toasted bread or rice crackers.
