  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Nutella (or more if desired)
  • 1/4 cup extra chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown; let cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs until fluffy.
  3. Mix cooled butter and vanilla into the sugar mixture until combined.
  4. Gradually add flour until just mixed; avoid overmixing.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips evenly with a spatula.
  6. Grease or line a pie dish with parchment paper.
  7. Press half of the dough into the dish, layer with Nutella, cover with remaining dough, seal edges, and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
  8. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 35–40 minutes until edges are golden and center is slightly soft.
  9. Allow to cool for at least 20 minutes before serving.
