  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F and lightly spray muffin pan.
  2. Prepare egg wash by beating the egg with water.
  3. Dice apples and mix with sugars, spices, flour, and vanilla.
  4. Cut pie crusts into circles and press into muffin pan cavities.
  5. Brush crust bottoms with egg wash and fill with apple mixture.
  6. Create lattice topping from remaining pie crust scraps and place on top.
  7. Brush tops with egg wash and sprinkle with sanding sugar if desired.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
