  • 1/2 cup vanilla frosting
  • 12 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 6 ounces red candy melts
  • 6 ounces blue candy melts
  • Red and blue gel food coloring
  • 1/4 cup shortening

Instructions

  1. Bake the white cake according to package instructions in a 9 x 13 pan. Let it cool completely.
  2. Crumble the cooled cake into two bowls; mix one with frosting and blue food coloring, and the other with frosting and red food coloring until well combined.
  3. Roll each mixture into walnut-sized balls and chill for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Melt white chocolate chips using a double boiler until smooth.
  5. Insert lollipop sticks into chilled cake balls after dipping the tips in melted chocolate.
  6. Coat each ball in melted white chocolate, adjusting for consistency as needed, then allow to dry upright.
  7. Decorate with melted red and blue candy melts.
