  • 16 ounces fully cooked breaded chicken strips
  • 16 ounces penne pasta
  • 20 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
  • 32 ounces marinara pasta sauce
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Cook penne pasta in boiling water until just short of al dente (about 9 minutes). Drain well.
  4. In a large bowl, combine chicken, cooked pasta, 16 ounces of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and most of the marinara sauce (reserve about one cup). Toss until evenly coated.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch casserole dish. Spread evenly and top with the remaining marinara sauce and mozzarella.
  6. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
