Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and butter a baking dish.
  2. Layer thinly sliced potatoes in the dish.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk and cream while whisking to avoid lumps. Season with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until thickened.
  4. Stir in mozzarella and cheddar cheeses until melted and smooth.
  5. Pour half of the cheese sauce over the potatoes, cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove foil and pour remaining sauce over potatoes; bake uncovered for an additional hour or until golden brown.
  7. Garnish with parsley before serving.
