  • 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated white sugar

  • 1 1/2 cups (188 g) all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 1/2 cup (40 g) black cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup (168 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup (165 g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated white sugar
  • 2 egg yolks, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cheesecake filling by mixing cold cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add egg yolks and vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, black cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually combine with the wet mixture.
  4. Scoop about two tablespoons of dough, flatten it, add cheesecake filling in the center, and fold to form a ball.
  5. Bake on a lined baking sheet for 10-12 minutes until set but soft in the center.
